Cafe Rico is a shady escape from the busy Main Street of Puerto Viejo in south-eastern Cost Rica. A second-hand bookstore in a beautiful garden full of bright orange frogs, crabs, birds... and a resident sloth. They roast their own coffee, the food is great (can’t go past the Ana Rosa for brekky) and they sell various crafts of local artists... including a few prints of my mandalas, at least for a while.
Interesting fact. The sloth gave birth in the garden one day to the surprise of everyone, nobody even knew she’d been pregnant. All became apparent when a customer found blood dripping onto their shirt from the tree above! Only in Costa Rica!
