Castro Urdiales is a beautiful seaport village built on an ancient Roman settlement on the Bay Of Biscay in northern Spain.

As I approached the town on foot, I got pretty excited. Have you ever arrived some place you knew nothing about and were surprised to find it of far more interest than you'd realised? Well that was Castro for me. I arrived around noon, found a bed, showered and was quickly back out on foot for the rest of the day, exploring as much as I could. Rest would have to wait...
