Ek Chuan, Mayan God of Cacao, Guatemala

Early in 2022, a friend of mine asked me to create a mandala for her son, who works for a cacao practising business in Guatemala on the shore of Lake Atitlan, called One Spirit. His birthday was approaching and Greta wanted to give him something related to his passion for cacao. She sent me an image of Ek Chuah, and then left it with me.

Well I managed to get a drawing done and somehow it arrived in Guatemala on time, despite some drama and our reservations. But I still have trouble letting go of my original work, so I decided to do another drawing in a similar vain, with a couple of adjustments...
