It took ages to work myself up to this picture. Who remembers what it feels like to catch the first glimpses of the ocean on the way to a summer holiday? It wasn’t just WHAT I wanted to draw, it was that feeling too that I wanted to capture. As the first hint of a beach reveals itself through the jungle.
In this case, a jungle fifty metres tall, the tree trunks covered in vines and layers of green, and beckoning through the trees a small island in torquoise water. There has to be treasure buried out there somewhere.
