Juayua Central Plaza, El Salvador

Juayua is a beautiful little town on la Ruta de las Flores (The Way of Flowers) in the mountains of western El Salvador, lots of coffee plantations, waterfalls, volcano tourism… and an awesome food market that animates its colourful central square every weekend. Never got to the bottom of why there’s a giant transformer guarding the plaza, even google came up empty on that one...🤔

A quick note on El Salvador. I spent 3 weeks there, having first thought I'd pass quickly through from one of its neighbours to the other in 3 or 4 days. When I think about it now, you could stay for months. It was one of the biggest, most pleasant surprises I've had while travelling.
