Jodhpur is the wonderful blue city of India, in the heart of Rajasthan. Plenty of things to explore by day, whether it be to climb to the Merangarh Fort on the hilltop in the middle of town, visit the cenotaph, Jaswant Thada just a stone's throw from there, with its beautiful hall and formal garden, visit the step well, Toorji Ka Jhalra, or simply try to get lost as you wander amongst the blue houses in the labyrinthine laneways of the old town.
At dusk, you may wish to climb to the rooftop of wherever you're staying, so many buildings have rooftop access in Jodhpur, which makes alot of sense. In some ways, it's the best space a building can offer, particularly at sunset. I won't deny that I've greatly exaggerated the experience in this drawing, but there were a few kites being flown from various rooftops in various parts of the city, and I was happy just being there to watch them as they danced in the last light of the day...
