About this Mandala
I met Romeo at Hostel Playa 506 on Playa Cocles near Puerto Viejo, in the southeast Caribbean corner of Costa Rica. He was a super cool bird guy and already had an owl on his left flank. He was introduced to Gabi Castro, a local tattoo artist with a great eye and a steady hand, and now he has a toucan on his right flank too. She did such a great job of the tattoo, I kind of adopted it to put my own take on her work. I pushed it into a circle of course, a compulsion of mine… and whatcha gonna do for a Rainbow-billed Toucan? You’re gonna add some colour. So I did. Such a beautiful bird, and in some parts of Costa Rica, quite visible too.
Print Information
All prints are produced from high quality scans that use embedded colour profiles to ensure that the print colours are as true as possible to the original artwork. The prints are archival quality, using the giclee printing process on 310gsm cotton rag paper that is acid-free and lignin-free.
