Seal Rocks is not quite remote, but it is at the end of the line…. and a little piece of paradise. What a pleasure, against the odds, to find a decent coffee in this place, sold out of a charming little caravan with hay bales scattered for seats and a sweet view over the bay. I've got no idea if it’s still there, I figure a van is portable… but wherever it may pop up, well, lucky you.

Seal Rocks is a tiny surf community on the coast of NSW, a pretty idyllic little place with good waves, but also a lovely stretch of protected beach where children can play safely. A short walk will take you out to Sugarloaf Point, a rugged headland with a wonderful, if short, traditional-looking lighthouse on its apex. All in all, well worth the visit.
