The Maldives

Who's been to The Maldives. If you have, you'll understand this mandala. If you haven't, see if you can't get a window seat and a flight that arrives in daylight hours. The view from the air is unbelievable.

Scattered islands and atolls and lagoons and beaches, shapes and colours like peacock feathers, not all perfect symmetry by any means, but patterns repeating, a certain organisation to it all. I've not done any justice to the awesomeness of the place in this picture... but it does have a modestness of a ring to it...
