During my 5 years of guiding in Tasmania the job encouraged me into many parts of the delicious state, and so I had many places I liked to visit for coffee, breakfast or lunch… but perhaps of them all the Pigeon Hole Bakery/Cafe in West Hobart was my fave.
It’s really not much more than a shoe box, but always a good atmosphere, friendly service and such awesome food and coffee.
Sit out front and have your morning coffee with a newspaper… or sit within by the wall full of preserves and enjoy some baked eggs with something posh.
Some places, you just go to sleep a little happier knowing you’ll be there in the morning. Such was the Pigeon Hole for me.
