The Sistine Chapel, The Vatican

It’s hard now to say what possessed me to try and squeeze the Sistine Chapel into an A4 circle, but not all things have a decent explanation. I certainly regret it. You may consider the very attempt disrespectful, but I assure you, I was coming from a place of great veneration.

Michelangelo used 4 years to paint this ceiling over half a millennium ago. When I visited in 2013, the hall was full of tourists. Taking photos was banned and there were several wardens failing to stop people from taking them anyway. There were a lot of twitchy hands in that magnificent room that day, including mine. I did manage to control myself though...
